Doublewide Kings Unplugged

The Kings have a well earned reputation for energetic performances and for putting their own twist on the music of some of rock and roll’s most iconic bands, including The Allman Brothers, Van Morrison, Neil Young, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Crosby, Stills & Nash, The Rolling Stones, and The Grateful Dead. But what you may not know about the Kings is that they also have a passion for the gentler, acoustic side of rock, folk, and Americana music – that’s what this show will be about, and the 300-seat New Vic Theatre is the perfect venue for this quieter, more intimate show.  You can expect to hear a wide variety of familiar songs featuring the Kings’ three and four-part harmonies blended with the shimmering sound of acoustic instruments, percussion, and maybe even a banjo and mandolin.

Every dollar raised supports Ensemble Theatre Company (ETC), Santa Barbara’s only professional theatre, dedicated to producing bold, thought-provoking performances that challenge, inspire, and unite our community. This show is a fundraiser with all proceeds going toward the purchase of a new, state-of-the-art sound system. The new system will enable The New Vic to host a wider variety of concerts in the future.
