The 2021-22 Season

October 7 – 24, 2021

Tenderly: The Rosemary Clooney Musical

The remarkably personal and poignant bio-musical of the legendary song stylist. Starring Linda Purl as Rosemary, and featuring a live, on- stage band, the show presents beloved songs, including “Hey There (You with the Stars in Your Eyes),” “Tenderly,” and “Come On-A My House.”
December 2 – 19, 2021

The Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberley

Part II of the Christmas at Pemberley trilogy! In this new sequel to “Pride and Prejudice,” Darcy and Elizabeth must now contend with hijinks amongst the staff, all while preparing for the family to visit. Both touching and charming, The Wickhams is a comic-drama where Jane Austen meets “Downton Abbey.”
February 3 – 20, 2022

Carmen Jones

Oscar Hammerstein adapted Bizet’s timeless classic into an African-American Broadway musical set at a parachute factory. ETC presents a contemporary and dynamic version with all of Bizet’s famous music.
April 7 – 24, 2022

American Son

This nail-biting story takes place in real-time in the waiting room of a police station where, in the middle of the night, the parents of a Black teenager anxiously await news of their son, who may have been picked up by the police. A breathtaking drama that looks at subtle—and not-so-subtle—racial dynamics in American culture, this production is presented in collaboration with The English Theatre of Frankfurt, Germany.
June 9-26, 2022

Sleuth

Anthony Shaffer’s exquisitely constructed play of cat-and-mouse games was a hit on Broadway in the late 1960s and the basis for two hit movies (both starring Michael Caine). The cast includes John Tufts, whose acclaimed performances in An Iliad and I Am My Own Wife thrilled ETC’s audiences.

Please note that we intend to follow CDC guidelines at the time of the performance, which may include:

  • Wearing masks in the theater during the performance
  • Showing proof of vaccination or a recent negative COVID test
  • Social distancing, and restriction on sitting in the first two rows

For the health, safety and well-being of our patrons, staff and artists, ETC will require audience members to be fully vaccinated. While we are still working out the logistics, we anticipate that, upon arrival and prior to entering the building, all guests will need to present a photo ID along with proof that they meet the CDC definition of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, either in the form of a physical vaccination card or a photo of the card OR supply a negative Covid-19 medical test result (taken within 72 hours prior to each event), along with an official photo ID. If you are unable or unwilling to be vaccinated, please contact the Box Office. Masks are required for everyone.

We have upgraded our theater’s ventilation system to meet current standards, including upgrading our filters, increased filter replacement, and bringing in 40% outdoor air. Lobby restrooms will have additional air-purifying stations, and the lobby will have hand-sanitizing stations. The New Vic will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized on a regular basis.

We now offer print-at-home ticketing as well as contactless ticket scanning at the theater.

Please note: this policy is subject to change at any time in accordance with fluctuating local, state and federal guidelines.
